Routine Appointments

Normally the first available appointment will be offered with the doctor of your choice. Although patients can see any doctor in the practice, we advise that during any one episode of illness you see the same doctor, if possible. Please tell us if you cannot keep your appointment.

It is now possible to book routine appointments online.  To use this service you will first need to register.  Please come to the surgery at your convenience to collect a Patient Access Registration Form which will allow you to sign up for this system.

Appointments are booked at 10 minute intervals (for surgery appointments) and 5 minute intervals (for telephone consultations).

If you feel your consultation needs longer, please advise the receptionist at the time of booking.

Bookable Telephone Consultations

If you do not require to see the doctor for a face-to–face consultation, it may be possible to have a telephone appointment. Ask the receptionist for a telephone slot.  The doctor will call you on the number you specify at the time of booking (mobile or landline).  It is important to keep us informed if you change your number.

Urgent Appointments

If you have to see a doctor urgently, you will be offered the first available appointment that day, with whichever doctor is available.

Practice Nurses

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many ailments and you may be seen more quickly.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
